VINIFICATION

Matured at the saint-laurent-médoc winery, mouton cadetréserve médoc is strictly selected parcel by parcel from our partnerwinegrowers, whose vineyards and wineries benefit from year-round supervisionby Baron Philippe de Rothschild's winemakers. Favouring the expression offruit, the winemaking process begins, after the grapes have been destemmed andcrushed, with a period of cold maceration before fermentation. Alcoholicfermentation, which takes place at controlled temperatures for six to eightdays, is followed by a long post-fermentation maceration phase, allowing themost rounded and elegant tannins to circulate through the wine. The entirevintage is then subject to malolactic fermentation to increase its roundnessand body.

MATURATION

This médoc wine is produced in limited quantities andmatured at the saint-laurent-médoc winery, where it is treated with meticulouscare in order to preserve its fruit and distinctive characteristics. bottledfor optimum fruit, it is kept in ideal conditions in a storage facility wherethe temperature, ventilation and humidity are carefully controlled.

The wine has a deep, dense colour with a violet, almostblack tint and a remarkable, highly expressive nose on which concentrated blackfruit aromas (blackberry, blackcurrant, black cherry) mingle with subtle, refined and elegant floral notes. Powerful on the palate, it combines forward, silky, well-integrated tannins, thoroughly characteristic of médoc wines, withgenerous fruit, displaying varied notes of fresh plum, liquorice, cherry stoneand red fruit liqueur. The long, richly flavoured, lingering finish enhancesthe power of this perfectly balanced wine.

Titania Wine Cellar, named after "Titania", the queen of the fairies in William Shakespeare's A Mid-summer Night's Dream, brings magic to its discerning Filipino clientele by mystifying them with fine wines from all over the world.

Titania is a pioneer in the local wine market and has the vision to emerge as the top wine importer and distributor of premium brands in the Philippines.

Organized in 1982 as a family corporation with Tita Sugay-Trillo a major shareholder, the company focused its efforts initially on the exclusive importation and distribution to both domestic and Duty-Free markets of select high quality wines and spirits from world renown companies like Remy Martin, Cointreau, Joseph Drouhin, Antinori, Jaboulet, Krug and Piper Heidsieck.

In 1994, with the rapidly increasing local demand for quality wines, the company decided to concentrate solely on its wine trade retaining all its important brands like Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Joseph Drouhin, Chapoutier, Felix Solis, Piccini, Kendall Jackson and Caliterra.

Titania is he brainchild of wine diva, Tita Sugay-Trillo who has dedicated her entire life studying and tasting wines from all over the world and thanks to her, the word Titania in the Philippines has become synonymous with fine wine.
