VINIFICATION
Matured at the saint-laurent-médoc winery, mouton cadetréserve médoc is strictly selected parcel by parcel from our partnerwinegrowers, whose vineyards and wineries benefit from year-round supervisionby Baron Philippe de Rothschild's winemakers. Favouring the expression offruit, the winemaking process begins, after the grapes have been destemmed andcrushed, with a period of cold maceration before fermentation. Alcoholicfermentation, which takes place at controlled temperatures for six to eightdays, is followed by a long post-fermentation maceration phase, allowing themost rounded and elegant tannins to circulate through the wine. The entirevintage is then subject to malolactic fermentation to increase its roundnessand body.
MATURATION
This médoc wine is produced in limited quantities andmatured at the saint-laurent-médoc winery, where it is treated with meticulouscare in order to preserve its fruit and distinctive characteristics. bottledfor optimum fruit, it is kept in ideal conditions in a storage facility wherethe temperature, ventilation and humidity are carefully controlled.
The wine has a deep, dense colour with a violet, almostblack tint and a remarkable, highly expressive nose on which concentrated blackfruit aromas (blackberry, blackcurrant, black cherry) mingle with subtle, refined and elegant floral notes. Powerful on the palate, it combines forward, silky, well-integrated tannins, thoroughly characteristic of médoc wines, withgenerous fruit, displaying varied notes of fresh plum, liquorice, cherry stoneand red fruit liqueur. The long, richly flavoured, lingering finish enhancesthe power of this perfectly balanced wine.
